Hi Ter,

William Brockley married Jane Wilkison 29/12/1808 at Coppenhall
William Brockley married Christian Tomlinson 17/10/1810 at Coppenhall

Don't know if this helps or makes it more confusing!

Hi Jean, Many thanks for the information. I have recorded this information previously and in fact the William(s) you have listed are one and the same person.I believe he remarried. Both marriages appear to have taken place in Warmingham but unfortunately I have been unable to find a son William for any of them. I will need to double check to make absolutely sure as the second date would fit!

Hi Ter,

Maybe you could ask for an 1841 lookup for William and/or Christian - it might give you some clues even though your William was already married.

chris, you are a miracle from God! My name is Martin Wilkins. i need the indexes for the birth year 1741, in Manchester the name of Thomas Burton, and the the name of Hannah Hey(s) but i have no year, if you have that. And also in Stockport St. Mary's parish, the birth year 1772 for the name George Burton, and 1776 for the name Hannah Ann Coffey, and the marriage years for 1766 in the Manchester Cathedral if you have it for the couple Thomas and Hannah burton for  Nov. 30, and supposedly May 27, 1798 in St. Mary's parish in Cheadle, Stockport. if you could send me copies of those indexes, i would love you forever!!

Hi
Sorry there is nothing in the indexes apart from the marriage dates, I dont have any Lancashire (Manchester) indexes, sorry. If you want further details of the Cheshire marriages you will need to apply to the records office by email at the address on this link http://www.cheshire.gov.uk/Recordoffice/aboutus/recoffcontact.htm

good luck

Hi Martin

Sorry but I don't know what its that you want me to email, all it say's in the index is the two names and the date, which you already have. ?
These names and dates have been transcribed from the original parish records so are not direct copies.

regards

Hi
The marriage of Hannah Coffey and George Burton is indexed in both the Bertram Merrell index of Cheshire marriages and the North East Cheshire Marriage index, both these indexes are produced by the Cheshire Family History Society.

You can find a link to the CFHS below.
