Yes - I'm familiar with freebmd.
The problem is with people that don't appear to exist - with freebmd it could be that they're not covered yet.
I'll try ukbmd.

Thanks. Does the marriage information, name parents? If so I am looking for the parents of James Kirkham and Ellen Hallows who married circa August 1835 in Runcorn, Cheshire.

     No sorry it is purely an index of marriages, it is even unlikely that the full parish register entry would give parents names. You would need to find James birth for that.

I am looking for parents of Martin Bennett born 1786 in Puddington. As he married in the area too I am hoping his parents did.
