John Ackerley b 1786 marriage to Hannah Farrington b 1789

Both of Bickerton, Cheshire

Thanks

Mike

Hi Mike
             Welcome to Rootschat
I only have marriage indexes for Cheshire so there is no indeapth info.

marriage to Elizabeth Bayley 10/11/1784 St Michaels Middlewich (he a husbandman)
marriage to Hannah Farrington 27/12/1810 St.Michaels

There is no marriage indexed on the Cheshire bmd for Ruth the index only goes up to around 1900 for some parishes.

Thanks for your help Peter, I believe Ruth Ackerley went to work as a servant in Derbyshire so maybe she married there or maybe my grandfather was illegitimate. I will try records in Derbyshire.
Regards
Mike

Hi Rachel
Sorry I cannot seem to find a record of them marrying in Cheshire at all, is it possible that they were married in Mold? where was the daughter born? This link will give you details of the Mold district and where the records are kept.

Thanks for coming back to me Peter.

Their daughter Jane was born in Tarvin in 1833.

You could be right about them marrying in Mold. I'll check the link.

Regards Rachel :)

Hi
    And welcome to rootschat.
There are no online birth records as yet for Wybunbury, maybe an email to Cheshire RO would be the quickest way to find it, mail to the address on this page link, you will receive a reply and they usually do a free search of a few years,so you never know, its worth a try.
