Cheshire Parish Records Marriages only pre 1837

Hi,

I am looking for details of a marriage somewhere around 1817 between William Westgarth and Harriet Rowbottom which I think took place in Cheshire.  William was a Woolcomber born in Bishop Auckland and Harriet was born in Cheshire.  I am trying to find out the names of their parents as well as date of their marriage.

The marriage is listed on the IGI at www.familysearch.org - you can search this for free:

William WESTGARTH m Harriett ROWBOTHAM 22 Dec 1817 at Bowdon

You would need to get a copy of the parish register entry for further information, but it is unlikely to give you parents names unless they were witnesses.  You can order a copy of the register entry from Cheshire Records Office - they have an online ordering system.

I’m looking for the marriages of brothers Jeffrey and Jethro Alcock.
Think it will be Wilmslow area and about 1775/1780.
I have the details of their fathers’ marriage in 1749 but can’t find anything for his sons. 
I’ve looked on the IGI, nothing there.

Hi Jean

Having just made a small breakthrough, can I ask for look-ups for a marriage between:

Charles Holt, weaver of Bramhall & Martha??

Their son Thomas was baptised at Poynton in 1784

Also, the marriage of Charles' parents:

Thomas Holt &

sometime before 1753 when their son John was baptised at Hale & Shaw's Lane Presbyterian, Altrincham.  Address on the baptisms is still Bramhall.

There is nothing obvious for John, but there are alot of John HOLT's!
