Hi Chris

Do you have any information on the marriage of Aaron Broadbent and Lucy Linney?  I believe this marriage would have been in the mid 1820's, the first child I am aware of was baptised in Mottram in Longdendale 23/5/1827, and there were at least 7 other children, all baptised in the same place.  Both Aaron and Lucy were also baptised in Mottram in Longdendale in 1803 and 1806 respectively.

Any info would be much appreciated.

Hi Chris

Please will you see if there is a marriage for a Richard Whittaker to a Susannah (first child probably born around 1812) and also one for a Richard Whittaker to an Elizabeth Moors (first child born around 1831).  I did find one on Familysearch.org for an Edmund Whittaker to an Elizabeth Moors, at Manchester Cathedral.  That was interesting as the name Edmund seems to crop up in the family.

Thanks Jean

That's brilliant.  It's my husband's family and I know  they originally came from the Romiley area which came under Stockport.  Also they were hatters.
