Hi Peter,
its actually spelt Saml, so i assumed it was a shortened version of Samuel, i suppose it could have been her brother, but as it was on the licence i thought it was the father.
Any other Wingfield's at Wbunbury?
Also, im cheeky, on another line i'm trying to find out my great x seven grandmothers maiden name. Her name was Elizabeth and she married my GGGGGGG Richard Tickle, when she married him she was the widow of William Fatherson, any chance you could check for a wedding between William and an Elizabeth prior to 1754 when there first child, Ann, was born.
Thanks
Marie
