The only Ledger Terrace in County Durham seems to be Ledger Terrace, Blackhill, Consett, County Durham. I was born in the Richard Murray Hospital in Blackhill but confess I had not heard of Ledger Terrrace before. JJL Fadzen seems to have been born in the Lanchester, County Durham area which should include Blackhill. The name Ledger is fairly common in the Lanchester area.

Hi I got confused with a middle name for one of my lot also in the Durham area and could not find a link to the family. I imagined all sorts and as it was also  the name of the local pub, I wondered if the father was the local publican after who the pub was named!!  It was only after I went back 2 further generations on the mothers sides mothers side that I found it was the maiden name of that mother. Expensive to get all the ceritificates but it was a problem that niggled at me so I was pleased to solve it.
