Hello,

I have been researching my family and I have an ancestor Mary Ann Brady whose maiden name was McGuire. She was married to John Brady.  Her death certificate shows her parents were John and Elizabeth McGuire. Not sure if this will be any help to you but wanted to pass it on just in case. Good luck.

HI Mcgilleyclan

thanks very much for your reply. I"m sure there must be some family connection here but my mcguire/brady connection seems to be opposite to yours in that brady maried into mcguire family rather than the other way around. Iwill need to research this a bit more.  Have you any idea of dates for your brady/mcguire connections.  My Mary ann must have been born in 1855-1865 and Mary Brady in my tree must have been born in aprox. 1820

Hello,

My Mary-Ann Brady would have been born around 1842. She died at the age of 37 in Tradestown County Lanark. Her death record shows that her father John McGuire was deceased at the time but her mother Elizabeth McGuire was still living. I don't know if there is a connection but it is a strange coincidence having the same names just flip flopped. Good luck with your researching!!
