Hi Nell. Thank you for looking into this family for me. I think the James and Thomas are what I was looking for. Ann confuses me. She shows up in the 1841 Census as being born 1825. I don't understand why they waited until 1829 (in Michelmersh) to baptise her if they previously went to church in 1827 and 1828 to baptise her younger brothers.
Just an aside, Thomas' dtr. Elizabeth shows up in 1881 in Michelmersh as the 14 yr. old niece of a William and Elizabeth Palmer. I wonder if Elizabeth is Thomas' sister bapt. 1845? I'll have to check that out in the Ashley parish records.
Ann Lawrence baptised 23 Apr 1825 in Andover parents James and Mary Ann Lawrence.
I found a James Lawrence (wife Sarah) in Houghton in 1871 who stated he was born in Kingsomborne, age 48. I wondered if he could be another child of James and Mary Ann Lawrence who would have been born ~1823.
That leads me to the question of how are James (husband of Mary Ann) and James (husband of Ann Harrison), both from Kingsomborne, related? They appear to be very close in age as do their respective children. Cousins?
Sorry for the rambling. I feel like Kingsomborne has many of these connections for me and wish I could get a look at the parish records. Where have you found this information?
