Pigots 1828 Directory
« on: Thursday 02 March 06 14:03 GMT (UK) »
Hi folks,

I am trying to find out if the 1828 Pigots, or similar, shows Lutton (Sutton ST Nicholas) separately to Long Sutton. I have an image of a Long Sutton page but can't remember if Lutton is a separate enty or not. I am not able to get to the Lincoln Library for another two weeks. Your help is very much appreciated.
Primary research is Broughton family from Lincolnshire, England. Also Sandall and Tabiner from Lincolnshire; Taylor, Bennett and White from, Monmouth, Staffs and Barrow in Furness.

Hi Roy,

The 1828 Pigot's directory for Lincolnshire is available on line at:

www.historicaldirectories.org

I've searched for Lutton & Sutton St Nicholas but didn't find anything.  Place entries are in alphabetical order in the directory and the last entry under L is Louth so it looks like there's no separate entry for Lutton.

Regards,
