 Charles's marriage to Julia Newport Pagnell Dec 1854 cannot find in records at Newport Pagnell..... or Stony....
 Two Churches in Stony St Giles  = west
                           St Mary Magdalene =east.

 What I will do is take up the offer from the lady in Cox & Robinson chemist and i will draw up a letter with some questions...

  i.e.  Owners of shop.....
         Charles = connection to family

   Have just had Margaret's birth cert delivered...
  13 or 30 August 1859, St John Cardiff.
Father Micheal Joseph Howe ( never heard of Micheal!!)
Mother Julia Ann Howe formerly ( looks like) Molony?
Reg 8th Sept 1859 Cardiff.

This is going by the 1861 Margaret in Kensington 2yrs.

 Over a month has gone by...BUT  it was worth the wait.
 Today a delivery came from Cox & Robinson. I have about 8 pages on the history and the family.
  Charles Cox.... b in London @ 1829 son of.....wait for it....

               Joel Cox and his second wife Elizabeth.
 Elizabeth was the daughter of George Cox.
 Joel the son of Joseph Cox.

Found it under the mammoth Art project..   
I had to re check the Cox family in London. I'm still none the wiser there and the Howe family, from Ireland? Hmmmm..

I have sooooo many notes/links/tree's. Everytime I re -read this, something else jumps out and off in another tangent. How time flies past..

  Just bringing in the Robinson name with Ivens and Blake.

Did you have a look at the Harman / Rubidge in Steyning?

I'm curious about the Rubidge you mentioned. Who is he/she? My grandmother's second marriage in 1926 was to Robert Harry Christoper Rubidge in Brighton and I know he had a number of brothers and sisters - could he be related to your Rubidge?
