Hi Lesanne...

 Just found Joseph Howe was around in Stony Stratford in at least 1838 he is listed in Robsons 1838/1839 directory for Buckinghamshire.  Trying to find his marriage.

 Joseph Howe must have married Julia B4 dec 1854  (3a 720) that's when she married Charles Cox. Just thinking out loud.  ;D
 Reading through all the other info so I can get going after the homework session.

Hi Lesanne  all these names flying around....
 You said Julia must have been married to Joseph b4 1854 but Joseph was a widow in 1851 and I have found two marriages for Joseph Howe Newport Pagnell area 1= 1846 2=1849.

 Julia could have been his sister 10 years between them?
 I might be getting confused now ....

 also found Julia Jane Howe c 23 July 1825 dau of William and Hannah, Thats the one that married Charles. Might be worth posting a 1841 plea for Stony we may get some more names to work on.

Joseph '15 and Julia Jane '26 - brother and sister.
 Julia Ann '47 , Joseph's daughter.
If Julia '48 is niece to Charles Harman '19, then Charlotte '22 could be another sister.

Just found this:- 1881 John Ivens Married to Catherine.  She just happens to be a Howe on IGI.    Woohoo.... Julia's sister

 Elizabeth b June 1850 =on census 1851 dau of James  
                                       on census 1861 dau James O.K.

 Elizabeth b Dec 1852 =nothing 1861
  so Elizabeth d June 1856
