I'm not sure on that Topo, I'll have to search it out. Steyning was a huge reg dist, in its time. I believe it took in some of Hove area.
At the moment I'm trying to make the Cox/Howe a solid connection and just can't find it, although all the names are there....  ;D

i see in 1901 there was another Cox family in Cookham at the same time of Fredericks birth

the 1901 ref for them is 
RG13; 1158;  47; 35.
RG13; 1160;  75;  17.
in case they fit in later

what was Fred snr occupation when his son was born?
coachman
1901 Cab Driver (Groom added later)
Margaret was bon Cardiffya

so what do you think of Fred with mother Letitia ?
(1871 RG10;  799;  98;  20;)
gettng closer to home Freds sister was born Brighton  :)
and Letita was a coachmans wife b. Essex
 Coachman obviously travel its the purpose fo their business
where is Letitas husband ?

seeing as this thread was back in 206 and it is nearly 2009 a new thread might be in order

however

i cannot find a marriage for Fred & Maraget and wondered if she was already married, its a shame that you can't def. pin your hopes on to Margaret in Kensington (or can you and i have missed something)
mayhap Margaret left the formerly / late of Fred jnrs birth cert not unusual

Letitia M Baker aged 10 in 1851 b. Eastwood Essex
same as Letitia in 1871 although age out slightly

so 1851 what seems to be Letitia family

although the new thread you composed was linked to this one it had a different question and i dont think it should have been locked, after all my replies have no meaning on this thread
and this thread is dated 2006 and should have been left as a reference point
if chatters dont want to help / reply they dont have to it is not compulsory and
