This looks like them.  Unfortunately no town names for place of birth...

HO107/2459 Folio 298 Page 30
Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorgan, Wales
Address: ? (There is no address next to their entry.  There is one at the top of the page, but I can't decipher it: New Hermes(?) St. Cout?? )
Will Davis, Head, 31, Collren?, b. Carmthen
Jane ", Wife, 30, b. "
Mary ", Daur, 7 (or 9?), b. "
John ", Son, 6, b. "
David ", Son, 4, b. "
Evan, Son, 1, b. Glan Dowlais

There are at least 4 Evan Davies born in Dowlais in 1850 - just in case you weren't sure about the parents names, there are other possibilities.

There are other Davies' at new Hermon Street too on the 1851 census and it appears they are visiting other relatives as it states they are sister in laws and nieces etc.
If you want the details let me know.

Hi Badgirl

Not bad today!
Yea please, any info may help to sort this lot out. With such a common surname in Wales it has been hard work.

Regards

Brian

I tried to look for similar places of birth as your Davies' and these were also at new hermon street
so take heed as they may not be related. The families with the nieces and other relatives were completely wrong places of birth so the chances of them being related were slim.
New Hermon street 1851
Davies William lodger unmarried 25 collier b.1826 cwn (living with an evans family)

Davies:
David head carpenter b.1821 cwn
Eliza wife b. 1819 cwn
Rachel daughter b. 1850 Dowlais
Thomas son b. 1850 Dowlais
Jones:
John stepson b. 1841 Bre
Margaret stepdaughter b. 1844 Dowlais
It would appear that Eliza was married twice hence the jones children.
I dont know if they are related but its possible. I f you need any more info let me know.
