No Richely baptisms in Tanfield 1813-1839.  One Catherine Brown baptised in 1830 d/o Joseph and Mary

The 1861 census RG9/3732 folio 98 p 2 says Robert and Catherine were born Corbridge, NBL

Hi Anniej,
I've checked my Tanfield transcripts from 1784 through to 1791 for your Michael HUNTER.
Sorry, He's not listed, although there are quite a few other HUNTER baptisms noted.

Cheers
Geoff

Thanks Geoff
You haven't noticed any Hunter Forster links have you. I have a Thomas Forster born Tanfield but when I checked there were a number of possibilities. However it would seem that Thomas and Michael moved fromTanfield to Ovingham about the same time and both married in Ovingham and there a number of connections through marriages of their children and grandchildren.

Hi.
I have a connection with Tanfield with the name BRIGGS. My 5x's great grandmother was FRANCES BRIGGS was born in Tanfield. She married John PATTERSON in 1806 in Painshaw. I would be extremely greatful if anyone could see if Frances Briggs is any of their records or transcripts, I can not find her in the IGI.
Thanks,
Nicky

I have links also

David Kirkup - Lintz Hall Farm - moved there about 1860s, via Gateshead and originating in Brough Cumberland.

Offspring married into the Hindhaughs and their offspring into the Armstrong x 2, Heron and a couple of others who looked as though they wandered in from Mackem Country.

John W H
I'm a descendent of David Kirkup of Lintz Hall Farm Tanfield, and have lots of Armstrongs in my tree, a Herren and a Heron.  I have David Kirkup as born 1823 Maryport Cumberland, married 1849 Gateshead to Mary Carr.  I'm in California.  I'm new to this forum, so am not sure how we can swap more information.   My grandparents were David Walter Kirkup (1879, Lintz Hall Farm) and Mary Jane Armstrong.  I would welcome any information on the Tanfield Kirkups.

Robert
