Dumbleton surname
« on: Thursday 30 September 04 14:38 BST (UK) »
Are there any Dumbletons out there?  My g.g.grandfather was William Dumbleton born in Shipston on Stour 1848. He married Sarah Price.  His parents were John and Sarah.   John was born in 1808 in Brailes and I think his parents were Joseph and Elizabeth.  Can anyone help me go further back.

Thanks

Hi Deb                                                                                  Found some Dumbletons living in Shrubland Street, Leamington Priors.  Are they yours?      Carol

Hi Deb     How long did they live there?  I found some Skelcey's living in the same street in 1908. in St John's Parish Register.          Carol

  Hi, Deb,

I am comparatively new to Roots and, just browsing through the Forum pages (way back), came across your request regarding the Dumbleton surname.

I have recently discovered that my gt.gt. grandmother was Eliza Dumbleton, who was born on 27th February, 1814, in London  She was married to Thomas Pedley on 19th February, 1833, in Aston.  Eliza died in 1852.

I wonder if my gt.gt.grandmother may have any connection with you?

  Regards,

  pedlar :)

Deb, my husband and daughter have Dumbletons, two seperate lines.  Do you have Eliza Dumbleton born 1812 in Ilmington, which is reasonably near Shipston? Her parents were Thomas and Ann.  I also have an Eva Dumbleton born 1905 from Banbury, my daughters great grandmother.
