Hello Jan:
Sorry I have not got back to you sooner. Sorry about not putting the marriage place down.

According to the free bmd site the district is Shrewsbury. So it could be St. Chad or St. Mary.

This are a bit upside down here right now. as My husband went in hospital to have a kidney stone removed and ended up having his kidney removed!! The good news is that he is going along and he will be home on Sunday.

Cheers.

I'm back from my day at the Archives, and what a wonderful day I have had.  It's a great place, and I was successful with my own look ups.

I've been quite successful with all your look ups too and will post everyone's information separately so it will be easier for you to follow ;)

Unfortunately Anne I didn't see this post until tonight!!!!!! but I've made a copy of your info and will take it with me when I return to the Archives, hopefully next Friday.  I'm quite addicted to the place :D

ARKAY

Hi Jan,

I would really appreciate it if you could look up the marriage of my gg-grandparents Evan PRYCE and Rebecca DAVIS in Alberbury on 25 Jul 1827.

I'm hoping it will give their parent's names. addresses, witnesses, and the name of the church - fingers crossed!

Thank you for your kind offer.

Arkay

Details from Alberbury Parish Register:

Evan Pryce and Rebecca Davies were married in this Church by Banns on the 25th day of July 1827 by me William Thornes, Vicar

The mark X of Evan Pryce
The mark X of Rebecca Davies

Witnesses: John Davis
                   John Rogers

There are no details of either sets of parents, and no addresses either :(

Hi Jan,
Am currently researching my daughter-in-laws maternal  family side and would appreciate details of both their dob's and parents, if possible of ,- Thomas HINDLEY c. 1805 and Eleanor DUNNING whom he married 29 Sep 1890 in Wellington, both surnames  appear to be long standing families of Wellington.
Would be very grateful for any details whatsoever.
Many thanks in advance for your generous offer.
George.

BISMARK

Hello Jan, thank you for the potential offer. We have a family tale of a daughter of Andrew and Annie Lloyd of the parish of Llanyblodwel who drowned at an early age. There are too many young girl deaths to buy certificates but this is a prime candidate as she fits in a space in the run of other known children and the next child Dec-1891 was called Nellie.

1891 Mar Oswestry 6a 531 LLOYD Nellie (5)

On 5th April 1891 the family, but no Nellie, were at Lynclys Hill so we would expect a burial to be at St Micheal Llanyblodwel before 5th April 1891.

Many thanks if you have the time.
Mark

Nellie Lloyd
Abode: Llynclys
Burial: February 7th 1891
Age: 5

KENA

Hi Jan, have just seen your very kind offer and was please wondering if you could help me out at all. I have just discovered my Shropshire ancestry and have found I have Green's from Market Drayton in my familytree, this is what I have managed to find out so far on the IGI. Sarah Green baptised 21 April 1765 father Richard Green (my direct ancestor) and also Mary Green baptised 22 August 1755 and John Green baptised 3rd June 1761, both father Richard Green and all baptised in Market Drayton. Would be very happy if you could lookup these baptism entries and any others for the same parents and also possible parent's marriage, anything for me to go on really.

Very grateful for any help you can give me.

Anna

I checked the baptism registers for Market Drayton (Drayton in Hales) and there is no extra information on them.  Only the date, child's name, and father's name is there......nothing else :(  What you found on the IGI is correct.
