Hi Jan.
I'm not sure if you have anymore room for another lookup but I'd be eternally grateful if you could squeeze another request in. It's a settlement examination for William Hodgkiss of Stapleton dated 5 November 1779.The reference number is P268/L/8/20 which you give the archivist and with which they may take a while to find. I hope this is not too much for you to fit into your busy day and thank you kindly for your helpful nature

Best Wishes.
Steffy.

Could you please look up the marriage of Hannah Yapp for me .She was born 21st December 1845 at Hucklement, Lydbury North. In 1871 she was working in the Vicerage, Bishopscastle. She married John Groom, he was born 1850 at Arleston, Wellington. In 1871 he was a Tailors Cutter in lodgeings in Birmingham. I believe they got married in the early part of the 1870s In 1881 Census they were married with family and living at 123 Wallsall Road, Falling Heath.

Eric

Here's the marriage record for Hannah & John from the BMD Index:

June Quarter 1874
Hannah Yapp
District: Clun
Volume: 6a
Page: 1103

John Groom is listed on the same page.

A copy of the certificate can be obtained from the GRO for £7.

Hello Jan:
Could you possible look up a marriage record for me? I am looking for the marriage of Charles Hotchkiss and Charlotte Downes.

Information from free bdm site:

Marriage Dec. 1857

Charles Hotchkiss
Charlotte Downes

I really need to know the name of Charles Hotchkiss' father.

Thank you very much for taking the time to do this. I really appreciate it.

Cheers
Anne

Hi Anne

Could you let me know where the marriage took place please?  It will make my search a bit quicker, and I really want to do as many of these look ups as I can.  Don't want to disappoint anyone ;)
