Barker - 1841 census - St Giles Cripplegate
« on: Tuesday 21 February 06 15:46 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to find Samuel Barker born 1820.
In 1844 he was living at 4 Ropemaker Street, Cripplegate and in 1851 he was living at 1 Reynolds Court, Cripplegate both addresses near each other.
I would be very grateful if anyone could find him for me.

Hi Cathy,

I've found Samuel BARKER aged 20 living in Ropemaker Street, Cripplegate in 1841 but there's very little information in the entry.  It just says aged 20, not born in county.  No occupation is given.  The entry is not even obviosuly split into households (could it have been a boarding house?).  The two names above his are Henry HIDGER, 30, Porter and his wife Harriet, also 30.

The reference is: HO107/727/2 Page 33

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Regards,

Al

Hi Al
Many thanks for finding Samuel Barker. He came from Balsham Cambs. At least I can order the census now that I have the reference.
Regards
Cathy
