Hi
I have been in contact with 'Skut' re Cairns and found we are distantly related so have some information. Parents of Margaret Milne are James Milne and Betty(Betsy) Findlay, all are from Kiiriemuir area. Margaret married William Cairns.

Hope this helps.

Hi.
Alexander Milne Cairns was my Grand Uncle (according to cousin definition given by Wikipedia) - my grandmother's brother.

Alexander Milne CAIRNS b. 19 Apr 1883 Kinfauns, Scotland and d. 15 Apr 1912 at sea (sinking of the Titanic). I have some more info for you if you'd like it.

Alexander is my Great Granduncle ... brother to my Great Grandfather Andrew CAIRNS, who left Scotland sometime about 1884. He spent about 40 years in Charters Towers, QLD before moving to Sydney, NSW where he spent the 10 years before his death.

Cheers!
