wild/wyld's of clay cross
« on: Sunday 19 February 06 12:19 GMT (UK) »
I'm trying to trace John Wild, born in Clay Cross about 1860 ish, married in 1880

He is on the 1901 census with his family, and he is on the 1881 census living with his wife Clara White's family.

I can't find a record of him on the 1891 census or the 1861 or 1871 census either.

He has children William, Florance, John Edward and Mary, but I've haven't found any of them on the 1891 census either.

So far I've found his name as wild and Wyld, but haven't checked any other spellings

 ???

WOW.

Thanks for all of that.  The spelling of the name seems to change so often that I'm struggling a bit.  Also I don't think the ancestry 1871 census is that complete as this is the second time I've not been able to find info that is on there.

Thanks alot for all your help, and the speedy reply.

Plenty to keep me going all afternoon now. ;D
