Hi Doughy,

Could this be the family?

1901
RG13/922
11 Sussex St, Brighton

Alfred Read, 42, photographer, Harwich, Essex
Ellen, 32, Bridport, Dorset
Alfred Richd Read, 16, errand boy, Poplar, London
Jane Read, 12, Southsea, Hampshire
Frederick Read, 8, Southsea, Hampshire

At a pinch one could get the names Dick, Fred and Jenny from the children, though one would expect George to have been born by 1901 if he married in 1918. Does the idea of Alfred having been a photographer ring a bell?
