Can anyone please try to find for me the death of Ann Howell between 1881 and 1891 living in Bolton by Bowland husband Charles Thank you Sue

I had a quick look in FreeBMD which I presume you have already done. Just a thought, did you try a phonetic search on the surname?

If not, could these be a possibility? I'm presuming that Bolton By Bowland would be covered by the Clitheroe registers:

Deaths Jun 1881 Ann HOYLE,  Aged 34, Clitheroe  8e 189   
Deaths Jun 1883 Ann HALL, Aged 78,  Clitheroe  8e 197
