Morgan of Cwmamman

Does anyone have any information about the family of Carms bridge builders called Morgan of Cwmamman, of the mid C19, incl. Morgan Morgan of Llandilo bridge?

I am researching the history of Cwmamman and have a few pages on the following site which will probably be of interest to you:

The "Brynlloi Farm","Ty-Llwyd" and "Gwenllian Morgan-Phillips" pages should be of particular interest to you.

Most of the Family are buried at Hen Fethel, Glanamman and have strong associations with the chapel. The Morgan family resided at the original Brynlloi Farm at Glanamman, built c.1600 and demiloshed in 1906.

Morgan Morgan resided at Ty Llwyd, Glanamman. He built Christchurch and the vicarage in Garnant.

Some members of the Morgan family emigrated to the USA. (Though, through marriage, the surnames became Thomas, or Morgan-Phillips).

Enjoyed your very informative website about Cwmaman.  This is one of my main areas of research. A point of interest regarding your information about Brynlloi farm.  John Jenkyn Morgan (Glanberach) was not related to the Morgans of Brynlloi, but was descended from the Morgans of Brynhynydd.

I shall amend my webpage. Do you have any further information on John Jenkyn Morgan. I understand that he was deeply involved with Brynseion Chapel and wrote a book on it's history. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find out where to get a copy. There are no copies at local libraries.

I also know that he was a poet and that he was listed in the 1923 Kelly's Directory as being a local shopkeeper, though what kind of shop he had, I do not know. Any further information would be well received.

I haven't been able to get a copy either, but will let you know if I come across one.
He has an entry in the Welsh Dictionary of National Biography, which lists his bardic achievements:

He may have taken over the running of his wife's parent's shop - but I don't know what type of shop this was.
He was a grandson of David Morgan, Brynhynydd and a great grandson of Jenkin Griffith, Gwndwngwyn (through his paternal grandmother).  Both of these men were mentioned in Trumor Thomas' essay "Old Characters of Bettws".

I am researching Morgan Morgan who started to build Llandeilo Bridge but failed with a bad estimate.

Also his family of Cwmamman.

There burial in Ammanford interests me as William Morgan, William Penry same age both died in the same month and year. William Morgan married Hannah Penry in 1st Qtr 1853 and her name is also on the grave although it uses her maiden name or unless there was a a child to some one called Hannah.
