Hi Peter, Thank you so much. You found Nanny.
A question about the address in the 1841 census
Newton? Is that the only info they give.
also as it lists Joseph and Sarah the same age do you think they might be twins?  Again thanks so much

Hi

Newton is part of the Mottram-in-Langendale registration district, near Hyde.

The nearest address is written as "Soddams" "Quality Row"

As to the question of ages, the answer is that all persons in the 1841 census aged 15 and over had their ages rounded down to the nearest 5 ie they were between 20/25 in your case. But because the 1851 shows them both 30 it looks a good bet they were twins, apart from the fact that they are shown as being born in differant counties in both census.  :-\

Hi Peter, sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. I misplaced this info.   Thank you so much.
I have another  inquiry

I was wondering if the Betty Brighouse listed in 1841 could be the wife of Joseph that is shown in 1851
Would I look for this marriage at CheshireBMD ????
