LOVELOCK - New Bushey

I have got the marriage cert for Mary and Bert lovelock, Mary fathers name is Charles Trott and was a coachman that was in 1909. 

That seems to tie in with the census for 1901 I found above.  Coachman is not a skilled trade, so there is no reason he could not have changed from gen lab

I found him on the 1891 census but the trail went cold.   

Will have a look for earlier censuses, but it is quicker if you had posted the 1891 here

You quoted that you could trace both families back to 1851 hence i asked for your help as my trail seemed to go cold.

I don't think I did say that - but I will certainly do my best!!   

I have applied for Mary Trotts birth cert and await its arrival.

Had you considered this chap in 1881?  Despite the inaccuracies, it seems possible:

Have now got Mary Trotts birth cert. She was born 1887 edgeware, mother Harriet Perry  father Charles.
I have managed to trace their marriage cert. Hendon april 1885, awaiting that arrival.
Harriet's mother's name is on Mary Trotts birth cert. but unable to read surname it is not Perry.
I did manage to find a Harriet Perry in 1881 at a convent St Mary Magdalen.
Charles still eludes me at present, on Mary bith cert his employment is Horse keeper.

Seems to me that the birth cert agrees perfectly with the census return for 1901 that I posted in my first reply.  Do you not think that Charles in the earlier censuses is the right man?

What is Harriet's mother's first name?  It could be that we can find a remarriage. 

What is the address of the birth - it will be interesting to see whether we can find them there on censuses, or whether it matches the marriage cert.

I have been trying to work out the name of the mother on Mary s birth cert and i have now come to the conclusion that it reads Mother Little Stanmore? not an a name as such but mother as in a religious sense. The address on the cert looks the same but there is a bit missing from the bottom.
