THIS SURNAME SEEMS TO VANISH AFTER I GET TO MY GREAT GRANDAD. HIS NAME WAS WALTER JAMES SOANE. HE WAS NAMED AS A DECORATOR ON HIS SONS WEDDING CERTIFICATE. hIS SON WAS ALBERT EDWARD SOANE HE MARRIED DORETHY MAY KNIGHT ON 23RD AUGUST 1924 WHEN HE WAS 23. ALBERT WAS A STOKER ON HMS WHITEHALL AND LIVED AT 40 MAYO STREET LANDPORT PORTSMOUTH. ANY MORE INFO WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

I can't see what you mean by disappear. Which way are you trying to get?
If you are looking on Ancestry, then they may be the ones indexed as Socine in Fleet.

You need to think about Soan, Soanes, Sones, and Sone as well the obvious Soane.
