Oh, ok.
The father listed there Abner Cherry was a hotel keeper. I know there are records for people who were Innkeepers in Ontario.
I can't remember the link off hand, but will find it.
1862 is too early for birth registrations in Ontario, but perhaps on the siblings information there will be more information.

Hi Lee,
I just looked in the phonebook and there are "Cherry's" living in Newmarket, which if you were in Newmarket and driving to Aurora you would be there before you could blink, the Towns basically run into another.

Maybe there is an marriage annoucement or death annoucement for him in the newspaper in Aurora if this is the right family?
If you'd like I will be going to Aurora within the next week or two (that's where my hairdresser is
) and I could have a look in the paper for you, plus my neighbors mum is one of the librarians there.
