to a Mercer early 1900's location not known Amy born in Salford approx 1905

I have had a look through the complete indexes. Couldn't find a matching marriage for Amy or Alice in the time frame 1917-1929 (with the exception of June and December quarters of 1925 and September 1927, which I can't access).

WOW!!! thank you again, I only got the info on amy as heresay from a newly found old relo suffering from dementia etc, I had worked out from my files that she could have been born about 1905 but I never thought that she would have married as late as age 25 not thinking that things changed into the 1900's, she is one of the kids born of robert and alice Cutts found on the 1901 census with one child alice age 2 and the next child I found was in 1912 Hannah which has left me with that huge gap for many years..
