Hi All,

Joseph Rickit b 1851 was my Great-Grandfather.He migrated to New Zealand with his siblings.He started the first trading shop in Taupo, New Zealand with a Mr Adams, known as Rickit and Adams.I know all the names Ive seen posted on Rootchat about the Rickit Family.However the New Zealand Rickit's, are also having difficulty trying to connect some of the pieces in our Family Tree.

William 1821 seems to be the only Child of Stephen/Martha which given their ages when Married does not seem unlikely.

Hi Roerar

My sister married Neil Rickit who is descended from Christopher Titus Rickit and he asked me to help with his family tree.  Christopher Titus is the Christopher mentioned below in the passenger list.

I have sent you a personal msg with my email address.   I presume since you are Josephs line you live in NZ-unless, of course you have moved to AU or emigrated somehwere else.   It has been a while since I started this post and since then I have found lots of information.   Much of the start I got was from people on Rootschat who, as you can see below, are always very willing to help.   I probably wouldn't have got the info I did if it weren't for this forum.   

So because of the help I get in forums like this I am always happy to share.  I have a lot of info back to William who's birth I have cal at 1675.   Calculated from the chr record of his son John in 1703.

I also have Joseph's family (12 of them) and lots more.   I don't know how much information you have but please email at the address in the personal msg if you think I can be of any help.


And thanks everyone below.  I haven't gone through everything you put there yesterday yet but I will just to see If I have missed anything.
