Yes, I have considered that he may well have been the son of the family you mention but I just haven't been able to find anything to prove it

Furthermore, one of his grandchildren was named Vincent and, although not conclusive proof of a connection of course (Vincent appears in the Hethe family), it is not a name found in other lines of "our" family anywhere

According to William Gulliver HEYDON's marriage, his father was William HEYDON (occupation something like baker or butler - hard to read) but, of course, this was only the information given by WGH at the time.
I did have a look at the 1841 census but couldn't immediately see anything helpful/conclusive there either
