Looking for Rev. Jame CLARK born in Aberdeen in circa. 1797 or 1801.
He was Reverend and schoolmaster at Daviot.
MI in Daviot indicates died 1840 in 49th year, i.e. 1801.
1841 census at Daviot indicates aged 40, i.e. born 1801.
A family record indicates born 1797.
He was at Aberdeen University 1816 - aged 15?
Probably King's College - his sons also went there.
Not sure if this is when he started or left.
He was married on 27th November 1825 at Daviot, Aberdeenshire to Catherine LYON of Inverurie. Does this record have his age?
GRO also has Old Parochial Registers (ref 187/1 and 187/2) that I have not seen.
Any help would be appreciated.
