« on: Thursday 02 February 06 04:19 GMT (UK) »
Could anyone please look up the Bedford 1841 census for Millbrook born Elizabeth WOODLAND b abt 1833.  Mother Ann b abt 1790, at Millbrook and father William. Any siblings?
Much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Merph

Welcome to Rootschat

Not a good start I'm afraid as I could see no Woodlands in Millbrook. Plenty of Woodcrafts though, but none that even vaguely matched your names.

I see that Ann and Elizabeth were in Yorkshire in 1851, so it's possible that the family was already there by 1841. The IGI shows a number of children of William and Ann being baptised in Millbrook, plus another Woodland family, Flowers and Elizabeth. This other family were living in Flitwick in both 1841 and 1851 but there was no sign of your family in Flitwick either.

Sorry!

Regards

David

Many thanks for the information (or lack of) :-)

I have my Elizabeth and Ann in Holbeck, Leeds (my hometown incidently) and have trawled that area in my 1841 CD - no luck so far - but now I know they weren't in Millbrook I'll carry on.
I  found the IGI entries also - but cannot prove they are mine......still that's par for the course.

Thanks again
Merph
