John LEANING - Barton On Humber 1861/71 Census

Does anybody have access to the 1861 or 1871 census for Barton On Humber out there? If so I would really appreciate it if you could look up a John Leaning, working as a Butcher, living possibly at Whitecross Street, Barton.

His son is William Leaning, who would be 21 in 1861.

If found I'd love to hear what family was living with him.

Wow - thanks! That really helps, and I now have a further two siblings of William Leaning, my g-g-grand father.

I guess all the Leanings in Barton were related in some way - now I just have to piece them all together!

Slightly off the topic of this thread but I've just noticed your crest and interests.

My gtgt grandfather was William Ellis born in Barton in 1819, and I've just received his marriage certificate.
I don't know if this one of your Ellis' but feel free to get in touch if it might be.

My Ellis line all originate from Lincolnshire, but as far as I know, apart from my father going to Barton on Humber school when he was young, the Ellis's have nothing to do with Barton.

They were all from the Grimsby, Ulceby and Scunthorpe areas.

If I do dig up a William Ellis from Barton in my faily though, I will definitely be in touch !
