Thanks Susan

With the surname of Cheeseman, although I do not immediately recognise the christian name, will probably fit in somewhere.  Thanks so much for taking the time to look.

Hi Dasher
Sorry for the delay in replying - I've been off-line all week re-tiling the bathroom!

The following entries specifically mention Chowdean

George Brown buried 28.1.1886 aged 47years Chowdean
John Forster buried 8.3.1886 aged 12 years Chowdean
Elizabeth Rhodes buried 4.12.1885 aged 53years Chowdean

If you have any specific names that you'd like me to check for I'd be happy to.  Some entries only mention a street name or in some cases just a house name.

Sorry again for the delay.

Hi Susan,
My g/g/grandfather Joseph Gardner born Gateshead Fell 1814, died 1860. His son Thomas born same area 1841 and dau Margaret born 1848. I know this is out of dateline of your book but wondered if you could look for any Gardners who may be part of the bigger picture please
Thanks, mrs doc ???

Hi Mrs Doc
Sorry for the delay in replying, I have had some computer problems.  There is one Gardner mentioned and one Gardener. I have included both.

John Nevin Gardner of Low Fell baptised 7th February 1886

Nellie Gordon Gardener of Church Road buried 5th January 1886 aged 22 months.

Hope this is of some use.  ;)

Hi Susan,
Thanks for that but they don't fit in with what I have, doesn't mean they won't at some time, I just need to chase up siblings at some time in the future.
Thanks again,
Mrs Doc

A thought has crossed my mind (don't know how it's a bomb site in there !) is there anything in your book about Edgar, Davison or Finlay? And out of curiosity how did you come by the book anyway, it sounds like fascinating reading, or maybe just for dipping into occasionally.
Cheers,
mrs doc
