Dear Vicars Wife

I'd be grateful if you could look up any MARKLANDS for me - they were in Castle Eden Colliery area in the 1860s 1870s.

I have a John Markland (coal miner) marrying a Catherine Wright and I believe Catherine was also married previously to a mystery man called ELLISON or ADDISON.

Any details you could find would be great.

Many thanks

Best wishes

Dear Vicars Wife  :)

Thank you for the looking up my families, I really appreciate your help  :D.  I am so sorry I haven't replied sooner, but I did not realise you had replied  :-[.  I posted a request last June and you answered last October and I did not realise or I would have acknowledged your kindness sooner  :(.  I am not sure if I did not get a message to say you had replied or if it came in one of the floods of messages I sometimes get and was therefore overlooked  :-\, I apologise none the less, your kindness was appreciated and should have been acknowledged  :'(.  I will now check into what you found for me and see if I can place them in my tree , nothing jumps out yet, but you never know :-\

Thank you for taking the time to help all of us on this thread, we really do appreciate it , even if the thanks is a little late coming   :-\ ;) ;D

Best regards

Lones  :)

Hello again.

Could you tell me if you have anything for a John Langton / Lanton to Mary somewhere about 1710 to 1720?  Their first child was born Staindrop 1720 but they don't seem to have married there.

Manyt hanks

Hi Lones

No worries...

Hi Josiah

I have nothing for Langton or Lanton  .. and have just had a quick look on Paul Joiners list and there's nothing jumping out there either..

Going off the area Staindrop is right on the border... for Durham and Yorkshire.... I have a family who married in Yorkshire and their kids are born in Staindrop..
might be worth having a look... just to see if they hopped the boundaries...  also worth checking is that Cumberland border..

Hi,

Do you have any Catterson's? Most likely from around Coundon during the 1800's.

Thanks, In advance for your help.
