Many thanks for looking - much appreciated. I think Henry Tweddle fits in somewhere - need to do a bit more investigating.

Best wishes
Jan

Hi Benjatine

Nothing in my data for a baptism or marriage of a Thomas Oates..

But from Paul Joiner's index a Thomas Oates was married Auckland St Andrew 1815 if this is of any help

Also just had a quick look on Genuki..
Nothing for Witton le Wear in George Bell Collection
Nothing for St Helen's in the George Bell Collection for marriage

The Vicars Wife

The 1815 marriage according to family search
Thomas Oates = Mary Smith
Marriage:  07 AUG 1815   Auckland Saint Andrew, Durham, England
