Thats great. We have got there at last. Does this mean they were married at a Church in the Chester-le-Street area?

Thanks for your tremendous help in sorting this puzzle out with both marriages of John Hewison.  I did get the Death Certificate of Margaret Hewison (Scott) too. Very sad that she died age 24.

Hi Carol

because its not showing on the DCC site.. its hard to determine if the marriage was church or register office..

the Chester le Street reg district covers a wide range of churches..

so the only way to be sure of where the marriage took place would be to order it  :(

I would recommend anyone to get their main line certs for Births Deaths and Marriage.. as its the only way you know for sure.. your following the right line..

Glad to be of service..

Hi,

I am interested in William Wilkinson born around 1764 in Heighington and his ancestors/descendants. Any info would be much appreciated.

Hello,
I don't know if a marriage registration will show the parent's names.  I have a Robert Meggison who married Jane Davison on Jun 26, 1773 in Sedgefield, Co. Durham.  I have never been able to find his parents and would love to do so.  Is there any way to find out the details of this marriage in the hopes that the parents will be revealed.  According to his headstone in St. Edmund the Bishop in Sedgefiled, Robert was born abt. 1730. He raised his family in Hardwick Mill, just outside Sedgefield.
Thanks for any help
Peggy
