A long shot but here goes::

JOSEPH CUNNAH died jun qtr 1876, Sunderland aged 46

then there is a marriage:

MARY CUNNAH to ROBERT LACKENBY Mar qtr 1877, Sunderland

1881 Census  RG11  5005/27  p.23

All children now LACKENBY and presumably 2 have left home and Robert's children and their new children.

Then there is a death:

ROBERT LACKENBY   died Dec qtr 1884, Sunderland aged 51

Then another marriage::

MARY LACKENBY married JOHN KING, Mar qtr 1885, Sunderland.

I cant find a death for John King before the 1901 census though, so a bit stuck!!

Tell me what you think!!

HI Emma

That looks very feasable

 ;D

plus this lot on the 1851 gives his parents too... all kids born Wales..

In 1851 Living at Coxhoe
John Cunnah  55, born Flintshire, Wales
Susana Cunnah  53, born Flintshire, Wales
John Cunnah  22, born Flintshire, Wales
Joseph Cunnah  20, born Whitford, Flintshire, Wales
Jane Cunnah  13 , born Flintshire, Wales

So only now to find Joseph and Mary's marriage to get her maiden name..

It was CONNOR here too!!

I've just modified my post! It does look like the most likely candidate , definitely will be getting the cert though!! Will have to be next month now though  :( have bought too many recently!

Did you notice a WILLIAM CUNNAH living nearby them on the 1851 census??

Looks like another possible son!

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated
