Hi Ian

Since last we corresponded I have had a chance to go through the Earsdon records in more detail, and I found more children for John and Ann:

John c. 29 Oct 1769
William c. 10 Oct 1773

I have also found the death of Ralph Mordey Orwin at Sunderland Holy Trinity on 18 Jul 1816.

All the best

Hi Denise

I can help you with that one.

Benjamin Golightly married Mary Orwin 17 Jun 1811 at South Shields St Hilda.

Mary was the daughter of John Orwin and Ann Hall born 22 Jul 1790 in Sunderland

Jane,

I have just come across your post and have information on the Orwin/Peacock family as it is mine! I have details back to 14 June 1812 when John Orwin (born 1786) married Dorothy Delap in Newcastle upon Tyne alongside his brother Michael (born 1791) who married Isabella Heath. I am a direct descendant of John Orwin and I am in touch with a direct descendant of Michael who lives in Australia. Let me know if you would like more info. You can email me direct if you wish (see profile).

Best regards,

Nicola Bullough (née Orwin)

Hi there

I realise this is an old post but wondered if you'd come across Wilson James Orwin born 1845 in Newcastle and married Jane Watson James and had 6 children - all girls?  Wilson James was the son of Thomas Orwin and Elizabeth Peacock.

Many of the off Orwin names came from the fact that they put surnames as middle names passing down the generations hence I also have in my tree a William Peacock Orwin, his middle name comign from his grandmothers maiden name.

Any information gratefully received.

Jane

Orwin, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Delap
