Bramhope Cemetery - Fred Haigh
« on: Wednesday 25 January 06 02:31 GMT (UK) »
Hi

Trying to track down Frederick Haigh, who lived at 8 Grosvenor Place in Leeds (according to 1881 Census) but showed as Bramhope St Giles at same address (which is actually Otley to my mind) in th 1901 census. He may have died (he was 60 in 1901) and been buried in the Bramhope Cemetery in the early 1900's. Looking for him or his wife Hannah, (44 in 1881) or his daughres Clara or Emley (Emily) who were 9 and 7 respectively in 1881.

Any help from you great people would be enormous help!

P

Had a look at rhe Burial Register for Bramhope Cemetery 1863 to 2000 published by the Wharfedale Family History Group. No Haigh entries I'm afraid.
Researching Moon, Jeffrey, Umpleby, Mortimer, Lowcock, Lynch, Naylor, Cobb, Emmott, Lofthouse, Limbert, Brooks, Gilbank, Wilkinson, Watkinson, Hebden, Hey and Clemie in Yorkshire
and
Myatt and Lawrence in Staffordshire and Warwickshire

Hi, Frederick is my great-great-grandfather. Clara married George Paul Anning 1904 Otley. Frederick died in 1923. He, Hannah and Clara are buried at Lawnwood Cemetery, Leeds.
Any further info, please ask.

Frederick Haigh was my great-grandfather and I've long ben trying to find out about his life.
I know he was a wool finisher, then a manufacturing chemist but there was a family rumour that some of his workers were killed by arsenic. If you have any information, I'd be most grateful!
