Fleming/Murroe

Here's two pictures I have of Boarmans hill area, the first is looking onto Boarmans hill and the second looking away from it.
There are only about six houses in the area of Boarmans hill now, if even that, just down the road though there is the remains of an abandoned village (well a cluster of about five houses) which were left during the mid 19th century.
Next time I'm in that direction I photograph them.

The Boarmanshill photos remind me of an area in the foothills of our Snowy Mountains where i spent much of my youth.

Boarmans Hills is on the boarder with Cappamore and Murroe this is the Tithe Applotment, Cappamore  Parish for 1826, there are a few Flemings there.

Yes thanks. I read Connorsgen... last year. The tithe lists were very exciting. I think uncle freddie looks like one of my brothers!!

Hi Flemmo,
I'm on the other side of the world completely, I'm up here in Limerick still.
I'm not connected with the Flemming families, my parents moved to the area they lived in from England, but I'm glad to have been of help.
I started a Limerick website, although it is mostly out your region (mainly Limerick city) although I have included in it the story of a doctor from Murroe/Cappamore.
