1841 lookup Southwark - BOWBRICK
« on: Friday 20 January 06 19:36 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for the family of John and Hannah BOWBRICK.  They have a son William (born 1833 Southwark).

Could some wonderful person tell me where they were in 1841 and if they had any other children with them?

Many thanks in advance
Philip

Hi Philip,
I can't find a Bowbrick, or a similar sounding name in the London 1841 census.

Many thanks for looking.

This family is driving me potty!  There are one or two in Southwark 1851, more in 1861 and yet more in 1871, - mostly claiming to have been born in Southwark from c1830 onwards.    AAAAAAAARGHH!!!   :(  ???  :'(

The search goes on!  -  maybe this is my (Bow)brick wall!

Hallo, Bowbrick, and a warm welcome to Rootschat.

I suspect there is a link between the Southwark and Rainham Bowbricks, but I haven't found it yet.

I have been concentrating on other family lines recently, but I will have another look at my Bowbrick notes and see if there is anything that might be of use to you.

All the best
Philip

Hi just to amend my previous message slightly. It is possible my Thomas married a Sarah but it was not Charmam as this is a different line in a different area. Also his son Henry John Bowbrick 1815 married Jane Flisher inSt Olave in Southwark in1837,Henry was born in Camberwell Surrey. Then their son Henry John was born in1838 in Rainham in Essex.I hope this Helps the other Bowbrick searching for the connection with Southwark.
