Highfield Home of recovery Golders Green

My grandparents met at this home - for shell shocked soldiers in WW1.

Anyone know where it was?  I know it was a big house with large gardens and mature trees from photos of my grandfather.  Apparently it was a girls boarding school before WW1.  It may have closed in 1918 - what happened to it then?

It housed 100 patients and staff, and matron was Miss Goldthorp according to The British Journal of Nursing which I found online at www.rcnarchive.rcn.org.uk

Have just thought could try directories!!

Just off to look online - byeeeeee
