Hi, I'm looking for any further info on my ancestors  have details of 2 marriage lines but don't know anything else about their families.
1)Michael Tighe-weaver-Derrytagh married Sarah McGeown-weaver-
Ballynary on 01/11/1872 in Derrymacash Roman Catholic Chapel.Lurgan no2 R.C.

2)Thomas McCann-farmer-Derrycrow(Derryinver) married
Mary mcMahon-Derrytagh South on 13/05/1877 in Derrymacash R.C Chapel. Lurgan no2 Parish.
their parents were (Thomas McCann and Maragret Small),(William Mc Mahon and Isabella Haughey), (Charles Tighe-no mention of mother) and (Patrick McGeown and No mother Mentioned).
Any ideas would be appreciated. i have tried most of the local Armagh sites. Thanks Pat

Could this be a connection Pat?  Patrick McGeown b abt 1870 Lurgan Ireland. Served in British army (artillery), was discharged to look after children when his wife died.

The Names above are prevalent in the old Montiaghs Parish and the McGeowns in Derrytrasna. The records are held at St Patricks Chapel in Aghacommon (Derrymacash) and at PRONI = you can view at Cregagh Library doing PRONI temporary closure - if you are living near Lurgan the local genealogy groups meets on Monday morning and has some Montiagh records and researchers  :)
