The first burial for an Ogden in Barnsley Cemetery was in 1869.There are only 2 Hogden burials and neither match the info given.

Hi.
Looking for burials for Thomas Firth b 1851 died 1902 & his wife Janetta b 1862 d 1907 (January I think).
There may be a family grave as Thomasīs 1st wife Ann & at least 3 of their children Gertrude, Lucy & Mary are also buried there between 1881 & 1883.
Any info would be much appreciated, particularly for Thomas & Janette.
Regards  Marion

Hiya Marion
Thomas Firth age 51, Turkish Baths, Castlereagh Street/ 2 Richardsons Yard,Buried 20 August 1902, Section K plot 154.
Jeanette Bonny Firth age 45,14 Eastgate,Buried 2 February 1907 Section K plot 154
Can't see anymore burials in that grave under the name Firth.
Gertrude Firth age 21 month,No 16 Court, Shambles Street, Buried 17 June 1881, Section M plot 387.
Lucy Firth age 5 months, No 16 Court,4 Shambles Street, Buried 4 August 1881. Section M plot 387.
Ann Firth age 30, Shambles Street,Buried 28 February 1883,Section M plot 387.
I can't see any other burials in that grave with the surname Firth.
There are a couple of Mary Firth burials between 1881 and 1883 I'll write them in then you can make your mind up if I had to guess I'd go for the 1883 burial because of the location to Shambles Street and she was buried 6 days before Ann.
Mary Firth age 12,40 Boundry Street, Measbro Dyke,Buried 29 May 1881, Section N plot 621.
Mary Firth age 17 hours, Pinfold Hill,Buried 22 February 1883, Section N plot 690.

I forgot to mention the other day that I couldn't find a Death Registration for a Harriot/Harriet Ogden/Hogden in 1861 in Barnsley. The only burial  in 1861 was for a Harriet Ann Hogden and she was only 16 month old according to my records.

Thank you so much Carolanne.
The Mary aged 17 hours was my Mary. She died .as you can tell, pretty much at birth. Her mother Ann died a couple of weeks later of TB, which I suspect is what killed all 4 of the youngest girls.
Many thanks for the look up.
I did go to Barnsley many years ago to look for the graves, but without success & I now live abroad, so your help has been invaluable.
Marion.

Hiya Marion
Your welcome, there are large sections of the cemetery that haven't any headstones now and even armed with a map and X marks the spot they can still be hard to find.

The only John Kane I can see is
John Blumerassit Kane age 44, Beckett Hospital / Lancaster Street Barnsley,Buried 10 June 1908 Section Za plot 46.
According to the census this John B Kane was born in Ripon not Ireland but his father  James Kane was born in Dublin Ireland.
