Carolanne
Is there also an Eli Hoyle who died around 1870, he would be in his late 50s.

By the way, I have a George Kenworthy born 1858/9 at Silkstone, the son of Henry Kenworthy and Jane Swallow. George had a multitude of children.

Thank you.

Hiya Holmemoss

Eli Hoyle age 57, 3 North Pavement, buried 10 May 1870 Section H plot 511

Same grave
David Lawson Hoyle age 4 months,5 North Pvement buried 5 December 1882.
Sarah Hoyle age 81, 32 Lofthouse Road buried 17 January 1903.

Some of my Kenworthys were born in Penistone and went from there to Darfield then Barnsley.  I have 2 George Kenworthys born about 1850/51 but it was Darfield  and I haven't aquired a Henry yet.

Thank you, Carolanne
I am almost certain that Sarah is Eli's widow but I haven't a clue as to whom David Lawson Hoyle could be as there is no Lawson connection with the Hoyles as far as I know. Another puzzle!

The Henry Kenworthy I mentioned was born at Penistone in 1827/8; he married Jane Swallow (my connection) at Kirkburton in 1855. They lived in Thurgoland in 1861 and Barnsley in 1871 and 1881 but I don't know after that as I couldn't find them in 1891.

Is Eli and Sarah Hoyle's son, Robert Hoyle, also buried in the cemetery? I think he died in 1887 in his 30s. Getting younger!
Thank you.

We might find a connection then somewhere along the line. I'll have a nosey at Kenworthy deaths.I would say that David Lawson Hoyle is possible a G/son or nephew he's got to be a family member somewhere along the line.
There are quite a few Hoyle burials If you send me your e-mail I'll copy and paste them for you.

Carol you are quiet again - I'm worried about you  ;D ;D ;D
Please could you see if you have
Gertrude Alma Crackles d 1966 and
Alfred Crackles d 1952.

I know there was an Alf Crackles killed in a mining accident 1876 but don't know if he is connected (unusual name though)
Thanks very much
