Your welcome, its not going to be easy finding out who Arthur was because he was born and died between the census he's either his son or G/son did Joseph have any sons old enough to be married

Hello Carolanne,

Could you look for William Uttley or Utley and his wife Elizabeth please?  He was born around 1810 and I can't find him after the 1851 Census.

Cheers
Brian

Hiya Brian
I've looked under both spellings and he isn't there.I've seen a death registration for a William Utley in 1852 so thats possibly him.In the 1851 census they were in the parish of St George  so  he could have been  buried there the church is no longer there but there are a few headstones in the small churchyard that is left.
Going to PM you with some info

Could anyone tell me if there is a transcription of the graves at Barnsley Cemetery?  I am looking for the graves of Charles Henry Parker (d. 14 Dec 1911) and his wife, Ellen (Dearden) Parker (d. 10 Nov 1883).

The Parker family lived in Barnsley for decades and I suspect that many family members are buried in the cemetery but I've been unable to find a record of interments.

Thanks for any help.

Hi Carolanne,
I've just found this thread. I am in Australia & have found my ggg grandmother, Ellen Quinn who died in Barnsley in 1873, however I cannot find a record of her husband Barney Quinn. The family first show up in England on the 1861 census & Ellen is a widow.  I have no idea what year they arrived from Ireland & if Barney was with them.
I was wondering if maybe Ellen was buried with Barney. I have considered that maybe Barney or Bernard was his middle name, but at present have hit a brick wall.
Carolanne, I was hoping you could check the Barnsley Cemetery Burial Register, I would be very appreciative. :)
kind Regards,
Shelley
