Many thanks for the information -at least 3 of those names I'm sure are mine, not sure about the others yet as i need to check names/dates etc but most of them are family names so its looking very good.  Its strange how some branches of the family dropped the 'e' and others retained it, it just makes it more confusing for me  ;D

I have quite a few deaths in Barnsley around 1888 onwards, On my first visit to the library, I could not find them all.
Do you have any Bowmers in your list from 1888.

There are approx 31 burials with the name Bowmer from 1878 to 2000 any name in particular your after.

I only just wondered if there is a record for William Hydes, infant son who died of pneumonia at 9 months.1921-2.
 Possibly e 330 uncon with the other family of Alice Maude.
