Hiya Mary
I know this doesn't help in finding Alice Maud but did she die in Barnsley because I can't see a death for her in Barnsley in July 1966.
Also I'm a bit puzzled now
G/Grandmother Sarah Jane Durham - Harrison
Grandmother Alice Maude Durham
I hope you don't take offence but did Alice Maud not marry ??

Oops sorry, of course she did.Her married name was Hydes. As I've been doing family history I keep thinking of her now by her maiden name. She died 19th July in Kendray Hospital. Mary

Thank you so much
Would you believe that when I visited the cemetery last year I had with me a friend and my son. None seemed to notice what I had done. Many thanks, Mary

hi Carolanne, thanks for the Carr info. Im awaiting confirmation of the date of death of James, I don't have the cert, but a relative does who is going to scan it for me so I can check. Once I have that I will get in touch with the church in Dodworth regarding the cemetery.  Thanks for your help with these, can I ask if you could check a few more Carrs in Barnsley for me please, again the dates have been passed to me, but not got the scans of the certs yet.

Carolanne,

I'm hoping you won't think I have a colossal cheek if I ask you to look up something for me in Barnsley Cemetery Registers?  I am trying to help a relatively new family historian and have come across a death in the GRO indexes which may or may not be the one we are looking for so it would be nice to try and verify it before sending for the death cert.  His name was William Turner.  He died between April and June 1879 aged 11 years. If he is the "right" one his parents will be Joseph and Harriet.

Thank you for any help you feel able to give with this one.  The family are proving to be very elusive - particularly Joseph Turner, the father.

Best wishes,

missprim
